Glorified Buckwheat Loaves

1/2 cup warm water

1 Tbsp baking yeast

2 cups warm water

1/4 cup dry milk powder

3/4 cup raisins and 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, chopped finely

5 cups (or more) whole wheat flour

1 cup buckwheat

1 1/2 tsp salt

Mix the yeast in the 1/2 cup warm water.  When it froths up, add other ingredients.  Form a ball and knead on a floured surface until smooth.  Allow to rise in a greased bowl until it has doubled in size.  Punch down and form into two loaves.  Place in greased loaf pans, cover, and let rise again.  Just before baking, brush 2 Tbsp water over each loaf.  Bake at 350 for approximately one hour.
